Professional Background

IT Process Professional BE, PGDBM – XLRI Jamshedpur, with 14 year of Industry experience with around10 years in field of Process definitions, Process Consultancy, and Presales experience in areas of Quality, Software Quality, TQM with wide exposure to ISO, CMMI, MBNQA. Praveen started his career in Tata Steel and worked there for nearly 6 years, before he moved to HCL Technologies. Praveen is widely travelled across the GEOs with extensive exposure to client requirements. He has been instrumental in setting up processes and methodologies for many of the marquee clients of HCL. Praveen has been heading QA function for Enterprise Application Services of HCL since 2008, and now he is moved on to head QA function for recent merged entity of HCL. Praveen has recently published a book “Software Quality – Practitioner’s Approach” published by Tata McGraw Hill.

    As we see the future of ICT , usage of more hand held devices is inevitable. Given this , this is a huge opportunities for companies that are developing software for mobile phones and other similar PDA devices.

    Imagine the fact that in a country like India , where in more and more people are growing to use cell phones at a phenomonal pace, it could be an educational revolution , if we could get simple softwares made for PDA devices for education to people in their local languages. The key idea being that if we could get content designed and managed for PDAs , which are managble in smaller memories and can be managed through services the way we download ringtones today.

    Imagine if we can download voice based educational instructional content in small edu-bytes just like ringtones along with some small bytes of mms or sms edu-content, this could have mass reach and result in amazing impact across all the sections of society.
