Roberto Masiero is President of IDC International and directly responsible for driving the organisation of IDC WW Conferences and GMS; his mission is to develop a new global Event & GMS offer for IDC customers worldwide, extend our Insights business outside the US, act as a high-level executive contact for our customers worldwide, and expand IDC’s Government relations on the international market.

A long-term IT industry veteran, Roberto joined IDC in 1986 after holding various Sales, Marketing and Strategies positions in Xerox and the Olivetti group.

After being MD of IDC Italy, IDC UK, IDC France and IDC Germany, he was appointed President of IDC Europe, Middle East and Africa.

IDC EMEA currently has 450 employees, 32 local offices and 6 research centres.

Roberto was also responsible for starting up the new IDC Conference Business Line, contributing to make IDC a global leader in the IT event business with more than 300 conferences reaching 45, 000 users every year.

Roberto graduated in Political Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. He also attended the Advanced Financial Management Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau and the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School.
